Chris is leading our growing and talented team to fulfill our mission as passionate guardians of the modern cold chain. We are committed to exceeding customer expectations through continuous improvement and hard work.
For the past 18 years, Mr. Bailey has been a commercial real estate developer, consultant, and broker bringing together teams of investors, landowners, and business owners. He has provided expert counseling in a range of technical areas, including buying and selling commercial real estate, development management, solar, wastewater, business planning, financial modeling, land use permitting, contract negotiation, team building, and government relations.
In his community, Chris initiated the Town of Sandwich’s development of a new Comprehensive Plan and led the formation of the Sandwich Economic Initiative Corporation. He served on the board of the Bourne Financial Development Corporation, the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, and as a consultant to the Falmouth EDIC. He is a graduate and former board member of the Community Leadership Institute. The Sandwich Chamber of Commerce awarded Chris the 2009 Merrell Award for Community Service. Chris received the Certified Commercial Investment Manager (CCIM) designation in 2006.
After graduating from Vassar College with a degree in Cognitive Science, Chris had a successful twelve year career as an actor and singer in New York, performing on Broadway and in national and international touring productions. Transitioning into the business world, he was on the leadership team for a multi-national computer graphics conversion at investment bank UBS and then started the interactive services department for a mid-sized Madison Avenue advertising agency. After arriving on Cape Cod in 2004, Chris focused on commercial real estate while his wife Courtenay Harrington-Bailey, also a performer, founded Dramafun! – a highly successful children’s theater company. They live in Sandwich, MA and have two children – Ethan, who recently graduated from college, and Sophie, now a freshman.

Prior to founding New England Cold Storage, Jeffrey Eklund spent 15 years working as an associate and five years as vice president of Commercial Realty Advisors, Inc., which specializes in commercial and industrial real estate sales and leasing; mergers and acquisitions; business reengineering; and business brokerage. He began his career as a sales associate for All Business Communications before moving into an account manager position at Software Spectrum and then a broker for Realty Professionals of Maryland. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing from Elon University.

Rob Chamberlain oversees the finances of New England Cold Storage and is an active participant in strategic decision-making for the company.
Mr. Chamberlain is a lawyer and entrepreneur who has spent decades developing and managing commercial real estate properties as well as starting and operating a diverse number of businesses. He currently holds positions with several business and civic organizations: Vice-President of Finance, Executive Board of the Cape Cod & Islands Council of the Boy Scouts of America (past President), Corporator of The Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank and Trustee of the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History. He is a past associate member of the Town of Dennis Board of Appeals, past member of the Southeastern Regional Committee of the Judicial Nominating Council, Commonwealth of Massachusetts (Chairman, 1998 – 2002) and Past Master of Mount Horeb Lodge, South Dennis, Massachusetts.
Mr. Chamberlain graduated from Duke University and Boston College School of Law. He is the current managing partner of Chamberlain Law Group LLP where he represents clients in a wide variety of litigation and business matters including acquiring, operating and selling business and commercial properties and related financing.
Vice President, Operations
Mark Wetmore is establishing a company culture at New England Cold Storage that prioritizes employee well-being and efficiency, while fulfilling our promise to provide old school customer service.
Mr. Wetmore came to NECS from Smithfield Foods, where he was the Director of Distribution responsible for all aspects of consolidated fresh and processed product distribution from multiple production facilities to Smithfield’s food service and retail customers. Before that, Mark worked as the regional manager for AmeriCold Logistics, where he oversaw all aspects of operations for multiple 3PL facilities in the Mid-South region of the United States. He also worked closely with AmeriCold’s business development group to design greenfield facilities for prospective customers and directly assisted in multiple construction and start up projects when relationships were secured. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from St. Joseph’s College.
General Manager
Kadir Beyaztas is the hands-on manager of our new warehouse facility in Sturbridge. Through direct oversight and development of his team, Kadir will be there to assure our success in creating a positive work environment and strong customer relationships.
He has worked in the mechanical or industrial engineering industry for over two decades and is skilled in leadership, project management, team building, and lean practices. He gained experience as the warehouse manager for North East Refrigerated Terminals, Inc, in Taunton, Mass. Before coming to work in the United States, he worked for GF Hakan Plasik in Turkey for 16 years, where he held various positions, including warehouse manager. He graduated from Southeastern Regional Vocational High School with a certificate in machine tool technology.
